This was a somewhat last minute session (due to holiday craziness and rescheduling due to bad weather) but it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I didn’t have nearly enough time to educate this adorable family on what to wear or what to expect during our session, but they came dressed perfectly! And it doesn’t hurt that every single one of them could be a model. No joke. They’re gorgeous!
We did this session at the San Jose Mission because the last time this family did photos (over 8 years ago!) they did them right here, and they wanted to recreate that experience to compare and contrast just how much they’d each grown. Even though we did this session a day or two after Thanksgiving, there was almost no one else there! And the lighting was goooorgeous. This has quickly become one of my favorite family session locations! There’s a small fee for a photography permit, but it’s totally worth it for that ancient brick and the gorgeous archways.
One of my favorite photos I took during this session is one of the last ones on this page. It’s a close up of Jacques’s wedding ring with her face blurred in the background. I loved getting to focus a bit on the remarkable relationship between her and her sweet husband, Scott. Maintaining a healthy marriage through the medical journey is not easy. But these two cuties have been married for over 20 years, and you can tell they are still very much in love! Looking at them in these photos, looking into each others’ eyes, gives me hope for the type of marriage that Kyle and I want to have. A marriage where our spouse comes before everything else and the Lord plays a vital part.
Thanks you Jacque and Scott for sharing your gorgeous family with me! I loved getting to know y’all better and feeling the love y’all share for each other. It warmed my heart to spend the evening with your beautiful souls! Enjoy some of my favorites from the session!
Love,
Sara
