April in San Antonio means one thing: BLUEBONNETS! Texans are absolutely crazy about their state flower that only blooms for a few weeks each Spring. Bluebonnet minis are my favorite type of spring family photos! I offer bluebonnet mini session each year and my families LOVE it! They always book out within a few days of opening bookings and it makes my heart so happy!

We had that massive snow storm a few weeks ago (lovingly referred to as snowmageddon), so we didn’t have very many bluebonnets bloom this year. I usually have about four different bluebonnet fields that I use each year for spring family photos, but this year they were all dead except for this one. I’m so grateful it bloomed! It made these gorgeous photos of the Wilkie family possible.

The Wilkies always show up looking like they just walked out of a magazine. Their adorable little boy rocked his suspenders and bowtie like they were made for him. And Michelle and Dan are one of the most picture perfect couple I’ve ever seen. Add to that a sweet disposition and a contagious smile and you’ve got any photographer’s dream client!
