Your wedding will be full of beautiful moments and emotions. You’ll spend the whole day smiling and floating on cloud nine. Surrounded by your closest friends and family. you’ll marry your best friend for the rest of your life! It truly is a magical day. But that’s just it. Your wedding day only lasts for a day. Your wedding photos from your fantastic wedding photographer (hey hey 😉) will help you to relive the magic over and over again, but it’s okay to want more than that to help you commemorate that magical day. In addition to your wonderful wedding portraits, I collected this list of unique wedding keepsake ideas so you can fill your life with momentos that trigger those beautiful, wonderful emotions from your perfect wedding day!
Once the last of the presents are unwrapped and your honeymoon luggage is unpacked, you have to face one question. Well I guess a lot of questions… but this is one of the big ones! What do you do with your wedding bouquet? I mean… you can’t just through it away. Right? You paid a lot of money for that bridal bouquet! But you don’t really know how to preserve it either… So it just sits in a corner somewhere while you try to determine what to do with it. But in the meantime, as you’re deciding, it just dries out and gets gross. So you DO just throw it away, and a tiny part of you dies inside.
Well now you don’t have to go through that emotional turmoil right after one the best days of your life! You can just send it off to the Heirloom Bouquet and let them create a beautiful keepsake for you instead! After you ship them your bridal bouquet, they take each bloom from your bouquet and design a flay lay and photograph it to create a fine art print that you can cherish for years to come! You get to pick the back ground color of the photo so you can be positive it’ll match the rest of the decor in your house. It adds so much variety to that obligatory photo collage up on your living room wall!
Custom Live Wedding Painting
This is something I wish I would’ve had for my wedding! It’s one of my favorite wedding keepsake ideas ever! This sweet woman comes to your wedding and PAINTS A PORTRAIT DURING YOUR WEDDING that you then get to keep and cherish forever! Seriously, guys. How cool would it be to tell people “Oh yeah we had that painted at our wedding! Isn’t it so cute?” Like, how freaking incredible. Check out her process and pricing on her website!
Okay, so remember all that emotional turmoil from trying to figure out what to do with your bridal bouquet? Well here is another one of my favorite wedding keepsake ideas to do with it! This company called Pressed Floral takes your wedding bouquet and preserves, presses, and frames it in a beautifully elegant floating wood frame. It’s seriously the epitome of a classy home decor item. They also offer shadow box options of you prefer that look to the floating frame – although, come on, who could pass up a gorgeous floating frame?! You get to choose the size and color of the frame, and there’s even an option to also get your groom’s boutonniere pressed and framed as well! Wouldn’t those look FABULOUS up on a wall together?!
Custom Wedding Venue Portrait
Wildflower Creative crafts these custom wedding venue portraits that make wonderful wedding keepsakes! She can not only incorporate your wedding venue, but also your wedding colors and flowers. It would be the perfect visual representation of your wedding day. Especially when you hang it up on the wall next to your husband and wife portraits from your big day. They would compliment each other beautifully and add a lot of variety and dimension to your photo collage on your wall. 🙂 Sadie Harper owns Wildflower Creative, and her attention to detail is AMAZING! She truly cares about her clients and their experience with her. She will make sure you get a product that you truly love!
Bouquet Embroidery Design
Savannah over at Sunny Side Stitch Co can turn a picture of your bridal bouquet into a embroidery design! She uses a photo of your bridal bouquet like the one above on the left and crafts an embroidery template (like the photo above on the right). She’ll use that template to stitch it for you which you can then frame or hang in a hoop! She can add your names and wedding date as well. What a unique, beautiful way to commemorate your wedding day! I don’t know about y’all but embroidery is on my list of “things I’d love to learn how to do but looks way to hard and complicated to dive into now…. or ever”. I’m so grateful for talented people who dedicate lots of time to be able to create something beautiful that I will never be able to do!
I wish I had done ALL of these wedding keepsake ideas after my wedding! That way I’d have delightful, gorgeous reminders of my wedding day all over my home bringing back those amazing memories and emotions. Which of these unique wedding keepsake ideas was your favorite??
