This San Antonio engagement session turned family session with these adorable dogs was SO FUN!! I absolutely LOVE it when couples bring their dogs to their session! Kathryn is a medical resident, and her fiancé Jake is graduating from medical school, so they used their session as an engagement/family/grad session all rolled into one!

How freakin’ adorable are their sweet dogs?! When including your dog(s) in your sessions, always bring a friend with you. That way, if you don’t want your dogs in all of your photos, your friends can hold their leashes. I try to make life easier, too, by picking a location where we don’t have to walk very far from the parking spot. That way your dogs don’t get filthy! Many people (including me!) consider their dog their baby. I think that including your dog can be a wonderful way to make your family or engagement session even more meaningful!

Landa Library is one of my all time favorite San Antonio engagement session spots! The beautiful backgrounds grant a lot of variety to your gallery. And the architecture is gorgeous! Kathryn and Jake picked out the perfect outfits that matched these charming backgrounds. It doesn’t hurt that they are drop dead gorgeous and could be professional models, right?!

You guys have SO many great years ahead of you. There will be hard times. The medical journey is fraught with them. But there will also be magical, joyful, BEAUTIFUL moments, too. Embrace them!
