Why Do a Bridal Session?

Brenna and Jordan’s bridal session was one of my favorite sessions TO DATE!! They have the most effusive, contagious energy that just lifts you up and carries you along on their wild, delightful ride! Brenna was one of the most joyful brides I’ve ever seen (despite getting two hours of sleep before her wedding and planning the whole wedding in two weeks). That same joy definitely came across in their bridal photos in San Antonio.

I always encourage my clients to book a bridal session to give them unrushed, intentional time together before their wedding. They get additional beautiful bridal photos (because there’s never enough time on your wedding day!) and they get a break from wedding planning to just breathe and be together. They also get to do a trial run of their wedding day look. I’ve had brides do a bridal session and decide they wanted to go a different bouquet or their hairstyle because they got to see what everything looked like in their bridal photos. You’ll look at your wedding photos for the rest of your life, and you want the final look to match the mental picture you have in your head that you’ve been dreaming of!

Brackenridge Park

I love doing sessions at Brackenridge Park because it mixes serene natural greens with elegant stonework. This location is one of the reasons Brenna and Jordan decided to do their bridal photos in San Antonio! It’s also a great location for family photos in the fall when the leaves change colors. Plus the river was very conveniently located for Brenna to try and push Jordan into 😉 (pictured below).
