romantic king william historic district bridal session

Oh my goodness this bridal session was so good for my soul! If you ignore the fact that it was over 100 degrees outside (thank you, San Antonio), this session was totally perfect! Tyler and Cassidy could both be professional models and you can tell how much they adore each other. You can just feel it!

Jillian and Bryce’s small, rustic wedding in McAllen, TX was a beautiful mix of elegance and intimacy. Kyle and I walked into the church building, and our jaws dropped. We’ve been to so many weddings and receptions in church buildings before, and it was always so OBVIOUS that it was just a church gym masquerading […]

This family session was the stuff that photographer dreams are MADE of! The lovely Brinkerhoff family came dressed perfectly in complimentary (not matching!!) outfits. The sunlight during golden hour was super creamy and dreamy. And every single member of this family could’ve been a model. Seriously! When I finally got to see the whole ensemble […]

San Antonio family photo at Brackenridge Park

Guys, this senior session was one for the books!! Joseph is a spunky, talented, good-to-the-bone young man that you want your daughter to marry one day. He’s also an inspiring pianist and athlete (as evidenced by the photo with his gazillion medals)! He really wanted to incorporate his time on the track and field team […]

san antonio senior session

These two cuties have been married for almost 30 years!! We did a quick anniversary session at the San Antonio LDS Temple after getting some headshots done for them both. Kyle and I just passed our 4 year anniversary and seeing Heidi and Scott interact with each other makes me wonder… What will mine and […]

In a world full of technology-obsessed people, it can be hard to get people to disconnect from their phones and truly be present. Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and you want people to be actively engaged for it! I totally recommend having an unplugged wedding where all guests are […]

Usually when I meet with an engaged couple for the first time, we get to talk all about their dreams for their wedding! The little details like a handcrafted ring box by the bride’s father all the way to the big details like venue locations and all the reception plans! But Brenna and Jordan and […]

Dear future little one, In today’s crazy environment, everyone wants you to have a well thought out opinion about every subject within a minute of first hearing about it. I can’t do that. Only through repeated, prayerful reflection can I hear what the Lord is trying to teach me. Of course, writing out my conclusions […]

Dear future little one, I write all of these letters and store them on this blog for two reasons: 1. You never know what life will bring. When Kyle’s mom passed away last year, the little notes she’d write us, her online journal entries, and the sweet texts she’d send became some of our most […]

Here are some of my favorite engagement session locations, some photos to go with them, and any information you might need to know about them – photography fee, restrooms for outfit changes, etc.

San Antonio country rustic engagement session

One mistake that people make is underestimating the importance of the location they choose for their photoshoot. Backgrounds are so important for style!! In this blog post I walk you through how to pick the best one for your family session.
